Inaugural V8 Supercars Chinese Round took place in Shanghai on Jun.12
 

¡¡¡¡Shanghai is the first station when V8 Supercars racing spreaded out of Oceania, during its 44 years history. From 2005-2009,V8 Supercars racing will be held in Shanghai for 5 years continuously, to enrich racing sports atmosphere in Shanghai with F1, MotoGP as well as CCC.

¡¡¡¡This inaugural V8 Supercars racing went with more Chinese characters in Shanghai. Drivers visited Bund and even rode on Tricycles showing close to citizens. The appointed oil was also made-in-china 98# gas. Tony said they would like to invite Chinese drivers to train in Australia in 2007.AVESCO also disclosed they would invite CCC to attend V8 Supercars next year.

¡¡¡¡ Todd Kelly from Holden Racing team won the race, followed by Steven Richards and Paul Radisich. Mark Skaife finished with 23rd place.
