MotoGP Chinese Grand Prix debuted in Shanghai


¡¡¡AOn April 28th, 2005 MotoGP Chinese GP debuted in SIC. China has become the 28th hold country in its 56 years history. China is the fifth country to hold this event in Asia.


¡¡¡AValentino Rossi, Tony Elias, Troy Bayliss and three Chinese drivers Zhenpeng Li,Shizhao Huang and Weian Zhang opened this event on the start track of SIC.


¡¡¡AThe six drivers were accompanied by Chinese traditional Dragon dancers and Lion Dancers to the track and said their feeling of this new track of MotoGP. After the short ceremony, these six drivers touched one crystal ball together and the red lights before the start of track turned to green and the 2005 MotoGP Chinese GP opened.

The track looked like Chinese character 'Shang' is consist of nine straight ways with longest of whom is 1.175km., and 14 curves, which are 7 left curves and 7 right curves. The highest mph of motorcycle could be 320 km(198.8m)¡£All stands can accommodate 200 thousand spectators, including 29500 seats in main grandstand¡£
